Francis Minvielle has become an admirer of Japanese culture during two sabbatical years in Kyoto (Kyodai) and Kagoshima (Kadai) as a university professor and senior researcher in Animal Genetics. He holds a special interest for 19th century woodblock prints he collects and researches enthusiastically for historical and social background.

 

Franck Girard discovered Japanese culture during his 30 years career as engineer and manager of a French subsidiary of a Japanese group who gave him the opportunity to visit Japan very often, and to discover its culture through business practice and visits of Japanese museums.
